Inter-operability Workshop on ERI Response

On May 24-25, 2012, the PBDC, with the support of the Anti-Terrorism Council – Project Management Center (ATC-PMC), initiated an inter-agency workshop to assess the operational readiness and to strengthen the stakeholders’ interoperability for explosive-related incident response in Mindanao. The activity was held at Commission on Audit Auditorium in Davao City and was attended by representatives from bomb squads/EOD units from Mindanao PROs; EOD Teams of Philippine Army (PA), Philippine Navy (PN) and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG); and, personnel from Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP); and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

The activity was graced with the presence of Police Director Ager P. Ontog, Jr., the then Director for Intelligence. Also present were observers from the Federal Agent BuddhyTanddo of Australian Federal Police Manila Regional Coordination Team (AFP-MRCT) and Mr. Edward Schlachter of the Regional Security Office, US Embassy in Manila. The over-all facilitator was Mrs. Rhoda Poliquit from ATC-PMC.

The activity was a success and was well lauded by the Director for Intelligence.
